By removing the watch’s chronograph complication, the Nautical Observatory Annual Calendar, launched earlier this year, returned to the traditional “Nautical Observatory” display cherished by Ulysse Nardin: 12 for the power reserve, large Roman numerals, and 6 for the small seconds. The advantage is that the integration of the calendar is seamless, just adding a small date window and a hand to the small seconds sub-dial.
Debuting with a blue enamel dial and stainless steel case, Ulysse Nardin is now launching a limited edition Nautical Observatory Annual Calendar to celebrate 9 years of support for the prestigious Monaco Yachting Show. This new Monaco Edition follows the traditional white lacquered dial – with the unique Roman numerals that characterise every timepiece in the Ulysse Nardin Marine collection, but here in blue with blued steel hands match.
The case measures 43 mm and is made of stainless steel, the same as the other versions, with one-piece lugs and a fluted bezel. The crown is made of blue rubber and matches the strap. Inside the case is the in-house movement UN-113 with silicon escapement and hairspring, offering a 60-hour power reserve and COSC certification.
